Abstract
Creativity is the create to produce something new or make new combinations. For an educator, the measurement of creativity is very helpful in identifying a thinking skill in the education curriculum design. So, the creativity of a teacher has a very important role, especially to enhance students' speaking skills. So that students feel happy when the teaching and learning process takes place and there is a significant increase in students' speaking skills.
The purpose of this study is to know the teacher creativity practiced in learning English speaking skills at XII BD 3 and to know the extent to which students are motivated to learn English speaking skills taught by a creative teacher.
This research was conducted by using descriptive qualitative research design. In this study, researcher observed English teacher in carrying out the teaching and learning process. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview, questionnaire, and documentation. Meanwhile, to analyze the data, researchers used descriptive analysis, data display, conclusion drawing, and data verification.
The result of the study that the role of a teacher creativity to enhance students' speaking skills has a significant influence, starting from classroom management to overcoming constraint that arise during the teaching and learning process.Can be seen creative teacher from the learning model used the teacher, the assignments given to students, and how the teacher can make the classroom atmosphere. In addition, students' motivation in learning English is mostly influenced by a sense of pleasure when learning English, getting a sense of achievement when successfully doing assignments, and because of students' desire to develop soft skills in speaking English fluently. So, teacher creativity and students’ motivation are key in creating a learning experience that is effective.
