Abstract

Competitive competition in educational institutions accompanied by dynamic developments in science and technology requires educational institutions to be able to improvebrand imageinstitutions in the minds of the public, one of which is through innovation programs which are not carried out by many similar educational institutions. Proper management of the research madrasah program can be the right step to create a positive image in the minds of the public through impressive achievements and quality graduates who can compete on the international stage.
This research aims to describe and analyze: (1) Planning for research madrasah programs to improve brand imagesuperior educational institution at MAN 2 Ponorogo, (2) Implementation of research madrasah programs to improvebrand imagesuperior educational institutions at MAN 2 Ponorogo, (3) Supervision of research madrasah programs in improvingbrand imagesuperior educational institution at MAN 2 Ponorogo, (4) Implications of the research madrasah program in improvingbrand imagesuperior educational institution at MAN 2 Ponorogo.
This research uses qualitative research with a case study approach model. Research data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. Sources of interview data in this research include the Head of Madrasah, Deputy Head of Curriculum, Deputy Head of Student Affairs, Deputy Head of Public Relations, Supervising Teachers and Students of the Research Madrasah Program. The research data analysis technique was carried out through 4 stages, namely data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. Checking the validity of data in research uses increased persistence and triangulation.
The research results show that: (1) Planning for research madrasah programs to improve brand imageThe superior educational institution at MAN 2 Ponorogo is run by the head of the madrasa, deputy head of the madrasa for curriculum and research supervisors guided by the Decree of the Director General of Islamic Education Number 6989 of 2019 concerning technical instructions for research learning. There are several stages in planning, namely coordination meetings, recruitment and selection of research madrasah program students, as well as preparing research madrasah program activities for the next 1 year. (2) Implementation of research madrasah programs to improvebrand imageThe superior educational institution at MAN 2 Ponorogo is implemented through 2 activities, namely core activities (intracurricular) and supporting activities (extracurricular, KIR, scientific article writing training, scientific camps, field studies at research sites, and participation in competitions). The implementation of research programs is supported by various factors, namely quality human resources, collaboration with other parties, and adequate funding, (3) Supervision of research madrasah programs in improving brand imageThe superior educational institution at MAN 2 Ponorogo goes through several stages, namely research class visits, monthly and semester meetings, as well as accountability reports to students and madrasas. Follow-up supervision is the improvement of various obstacles and development by providing innovative activities, (4) Implications of research madrasah programs in improvingbrand imagesuperior educational institution at MAN 2 Ponorogo by optimizing the management of management functions has an impact on the realization of superior madrasah indicators which are disseminated through appropriate information channels and have an impact on increasing brand image MAN 2 Ponorogo.
