Communication plays an important role in human life in the process of exchanging information flows, so that communication is closely related to human life which is always related to social interaction. The science of da'wah material is needed in developing communication skills. The science of da'wah is a science that contains the steps used to attract people's attention to follow, carry out a certain ideology, opinion or work based on the teachings of the Islamic religion. So, researchers want to analyze the influence of understanding da'wah science material on communication skills and identify how much understanding of da'wah science material has on communication skills among Islamic Communication and Broadcasting students at IAIN Ponorogo class of 2023. This research method uses explanatory quantitative with observation and questionnaire data collection techniques. The population of this study was 131 and the sample used was 57 students. The results of this research found that: First, there is an influence of understanding the science of da'wah material on the communication skills of Islamic Communication and Broadcasting students 2023 IAIN Ponorogo, with data analysis found from the simple linear regression test formula with the results t_count > t_tabel (23.411>2.004). So, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This can be interpreted as the variable of da'wah science material having a positive influence on students' communication skills. Second, understanding the science of da'wah material has an effect of 90.9% on communication skills. This is proven by the results of the R square of 0.909, which means that da'wah science has an effect on the communication skills of 2023 IAIN Ponorogo Islamic Communication and Broadcasting students by 90.9%. Meanwhile, the remaining 9.1% can be explained by other causes.
