Abstract

The application of the learning model used is based on the factors causing the problems that arise, so we need a learning model that can improve the quality of science learning and one day it will be useful for students. Increase understanding of science concepts. This research aims to: (1) determine the implementation of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model assisted by Kosica teaching aids and (2) increase understanding of science concepts in class IV students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah As Salam Sidorejo Ngawi. This research is Classroom Action Research. The sequence of research activities includes 4 elements, namely: (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The research instruments used were learning implementation observation sheets, pretest and posttest understanding of science concepts and lesson plans. The results of this research show that: 1) The implementation of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model was carried out in 1 cycle with details of several meetings, namely the initial meeting was a pretest, the second meeting was the application of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model with Kosica teaching aids, while final meeting as posttest. 2) The implementation of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model obtained pretest results with an average of 71.25 while the posttest had an average of 80. It can be seen that there has been an increase in understanding of science concepts using Kosica teaching aids, which can be seen from student learning outcomes. The results of the t test analysis show that the t count is greater than the t table, namely the t count is 9.94 while the t table is 2.09. With this it can be concluded that the application of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model to improve understanding of science concepts for class IV Madrasah Ibtidaiyah As Salam Sidorejo Ngawi has been successfully carried out effectively and with good grades.
