Abstract
STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF QUALITY EDUCATION
AT MIN 9 MAGETAN
ABSTRACT
The quality of education is one of the important components in the world of education that must be a concern and must always be developed. One of the problems facing the world of education today is the low quality of education. Problems with the low quality of education are experienced by all levels of education, including basic education in madrasas. One way that is used to overcome the implementation of strategic management.
This research includes qualitative research with the type of case study research. In this study, researchers used primary data and secondary data. The sources of data in this study were the head of MIN 9 Magetan, deputy head of curriculum MIN 9 Magetan, deputy head of student affairs MIN 9 Magetan, deputy head of facilities and infrastructure MIN 9 Magetan, treasurer of MIN 9 Magetan, representatives of teachers and committees of MIN 9 Magetan. Data collection techniques used in this study are through observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the interactive data analysis technique Miles, Huberman and Saldana. Techniques to check the validity of the data using extended observations, increasing persistence, member checking, and triangulation (with sources and with methods)
The purpose of this study is to determine the strategic management implemented by MIN 9 Magetan in developing the quality of education at MIN 9 Magetan.
The findings that the researchers got in terms of strategic planning for MIN 9 Magetan in developing the quality of education were carried out through a mechanism starting from the following stages: (a). Preparation of the vision and mission and objectives of the madrasah; and (b). SWOT analysis, and (c) Determination of madrasa goals, (d) formulation of superior strategies.
In terms of strategy implementation in developing the quality of education at MIN 9 Magetan, it is carried out through (a). Review of curriculum and learning, (b) student work programs, (c) human resources and public relations work programs, (d) facilities and infrastructure work programs, (e) administration work programs, and finance work programs.
In terms of strategy evaluation in developing the quality of education at MIN 9 Magetan, it is carried out through a monthly monitoring mechanism and evaluation every semester of learning, development of educational facilities, and human resource development. Then from the results of the evaluation a follow-up analysis was carried out through a persuasive approach to educators and education staff for continuous improvement, especially in the aspect of the quality of learning and improving the quality of its human resources.
