Abstract

THE EFFECT OF ENVIRONMENT, MOTIVATION, AND JOB SATISFACTION ON THE PERFORMANCE OF TEACHERS OF MTsN SE-KECAMATAN KEBONSARI MADIUN IN THE 2022/2023

ABSTRACT

Good teacher performance can be seen from the teacher's way of teaching, where high teacher performance will affect the high quality of student output. Therefore these efforts need to be supported by various schools to improve teacher performance. The factors that affect teacher performance include the work environment, work motivation, and job satisfaction. In order to improve the quality of teacher performance, a Madrasah head is required to be able to increase the job satisfaction of teaching staff, and the work motivation of educational staff, and create a conducive work environment.
This study aims to: (1) To determine the significance of the effect of the work environment on the performance of MTsN teachers in Kebonsari District. (2) To determine the significance of the effect of work motivation on the performance of MTsN teachers in the Kebonsari District. (3) To determine the significance of the effect of job satisfaction on the performance of MTsN teachers in the Kebonsari District. (4) To determine the significance of the influence of the environment, motivation, and job satisfaction on the performance of MTsN teachers in Kebonsari District. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire.
Data analysis used simple linear regression analysis and multiple linear regression. Data collection methods with questionnaires, observation, interviews were used for preliminary studies. The population of this study were 92 teachers and the sample technique used was saturated sampling with 92 people, namely PNS teachers at MTsN 2 Madiun and MTsN 3 Madiun.
Based on the data analysis, it was found: (1) there was no effect of the Work Environment (X1) on Teacher Performance (Y) in MTsN throughout the Kebonsari sub-district. (2) there is an effect of Work Motivation (X2) on Teacher Performance (Y) in MTsN throughout the Kebonsari sub-district of 16.5% while the remaining 83.5% is influenced by other factors outside of this study. (3) there is an effect of job satisfaction (X3) on teacher performance (Y) in MTsN throughout the Kebonsari sub-district of 91.1% while the remaining 8.9% is influenced by other factors outside of this study. (4) the effect of the work environment (X1), work motivation (X2) and job satisfaction (X3) on teacher performance (Y) in MTsN throughout the Kebonsari sub-district is 91.9% while the rest is influenced by other factors outside of this study.
