Teaching English is a complex activity it can helping someone to learn how to do something, give instruction, guide in study of something, and provide some knowledge. Teaching must constantly adapt to changing paramaters. Although this realization can be overharlming for some. Teaching English process before and after pandemic is different. Before Covid-19 pandemic teaching learning process used book and task book and can be done in class. During the Covid-19 pandemic situation, technologi makes a big difference in teaching learning process. Google Form is one of the social media used as learning media during the pandemic. Simple to use, and don’t need much of kuota are the reasons teacher choose of Google Form as learning media.
The purposes of this study were to find out the implementation of Google Form to teach English especially reading and to know the students’ responses toward the use of Google Form for teaching reading at the XI Graders of SMAN 1 Sambit in pandemic era.
This research was conducted by using a qualitative approach. The research design was descriptive qualitative. In the research the researcher observed the English teacher and the 12 students of science one grade XI. The collection techniques were observation, interview, and documentation. To analyzed the data, researcher used analysis descriptive, data display, conclusion and verification data.
The researcher concludes that there are four steps to implement the Google Form as learning media includes preparation, pre-teaching, teaching, and post- teaching. There are some students’ responses toward the use of Google Form to teach English likes some students don’t enjoy the learning process, and don’t understand the materials. But, some students argue if Google Form is easy to use.
