Abstract

With the rapid development of technology and the high public interest in quality education, educational institutions need to implement various strategic steps, in order to realize education that can meet the needs and interests of the community. To realize quality education, strategic plans are needed through the identification of opportunities and threats as well as strengths and weaknesses which will later give direction to achieving the quality of education. Therefore, strategic management really needs to be carried out in educational institution organizations. In this regard, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'arif Mayak Ponorogo has carried out a series of strategic management in improving the quality of education.
This study aims to analyze the 2020 madrasah work plan, implementation of the 2020 madrasah work plan and madrasah self-evaluation in improving the quality of education at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'arif Mayak Ponorogo.
This study used a qualitative approach, with a type of case study, taking the research location at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'arif Mayak Ponorogo. The method of data collection is done by 1) interview 2) observation 3) documentation. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman's model: data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Meanwhile, checking the validity of the data was carried out by extending the research time and observing persistence, triangulating and using references.
The results show that: 1) The 2020 madrasah work plan in improving the quality of education at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'arif Mayak Ponorogo is to update and add activities in the form of Al-Qur'an reading activities, KKG and fixing institutional infrastructure which are carried out continuously and continuous. 2) Implementation of the 2020 madrasah work plan In improving the quality of education at Madrasah Ibtidaiyyah Ma'arif Mayak Ponorogo, the institution optimizes the curriculum with a humanistic (self-actualization) curriculum concept model. Then optimize student programs including, implementation of learning, implementation of discipline, student guidance, implementation of laboratory practices, implementation of extracurricular activities and implementation of ceremonies that are carried out continuously according to the schedule that has been made. 3) Self-evaluation of madrasas in improving the quality of education at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'arif Mayak is carried out in 5 stages, namely: Team Formation, Socialization, Distribution and Instrumentation, Data Analysis, Preparation of EDM Results Recommendations. Furthermore, based on the results of the accreditation carried out by the education quality assurance team, at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'arif Mayak Ponorogo received an A rating (Excellent) thus constituting quality education based on the achievement of national education standards.
