The issue of human resources is increasingly becoming a major concern for the government. The quality and talent possessed by each individual is increasingly seen as the key to growth, innovation and job creation. But the reality is that there are still many problems found regarding the low quality of education in our country, which causes the quality of graduates who are less able to compete in the global world as it is today. This cannot be separated from the important role of educational institutions in educating children to become a formidable and superior generation of the nation. Quality schools are schools that have a variety of advantages, both in terms of curriculum, educators, infrastructure, service quality and graduate quality. This is inseparable from how the school is able to maximize its management of students in the school. Based on the above problems, there are educational institutions that are able to manage their students well so that they can produce competent, superior graduates and are ready to compete in the global world as it is today, namely Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Ponorogo.
This study aims to: (1) Explain how the recruitment process is so as to produce qualified graduates at MAN 2 Ponorogo; (2) Describe the strategy of placing students in MAN 2 Ponorogo; (3) Explain coaching students in MAN 2 Ponorogo in improving the quality of graduates.
This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of case study research. Data collection in this study was carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and verification or conclusions. The results of this study are: (1) The stage of strategic planning in the process of accepting new students. There are five types of activities to lead to acceptance of new students, namely: SAC (Science and Art Competeion), PSC (Pramada Schout Competition), Try Out for MTs and Middle School students, Banjari Festival, and IBM (MAN 2 Ponorogo Ball Invitations; (2) Stage placement of students in accordance with the class services chosen by students, (3) The last stage in the management of students at MAN 2 Ponorogo is the stage of coaching, coaching conducted at MAN 2 Ponorogo which is regular and also incidental

Persoalan sumber daya manusia semakin menjadi perhatian utama bagi pemerintah. Kualitas dan talenta yang dimiliki tiap individu kian dipandang sebagai kunci pertumbuhan, inovasi dan penciptaan lapangan kerja. Namun realitanya masih banyak ditemukan permasalahan mengenai rendahnya kualitas pendidikan di negara kita, sehingga menyebabkan terjadinya kualitas lulusan yang kurang bisa ikut berkompetisi dalam dunia global seperti saat ini. Hal tersebut tidak bisa lepas dari peran penting lembaga pendidikan dalam mendidik anak-anak untuk menjadi generasi bangsa yang tangguh dan unggul. Sekolah yang berkualitas merupakan sekolah yang memiliki berbagai macam keunggulan, baik dari segi kurikulum, pendidik, sarana prasarana, kualitas layanan maupun mutu lulusan. Hal tersebut tidak terlepas dari bagaimana sekolah mampu memaksimalkan dalam mengelola siswa-siswinya didalam sekolah. Berdasarkan permasalahan di atas, terdapat lembaga pendidikan yang mampu mengelola siswa-siswinya dengan baik sehingga mampu mencetak lulusan yang berkompeten, unggul seerta siap bersaing dalam dunia global seperti saat ini, yaitu Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Ponorogo.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Menjelaskan bagaimana proses rekrutmen sehingga mampu mencetak lulusan yang berkualitas di MAN 2 Ponorogo; (2) Menguraikan strategi penempatan siswa di MAN 2 Ponorogo; (3) Menerangkan pembinaan peserta didik di MAN 2 Ponorogo dalam Peningkatan kualitas lulusan.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi atau kesimpulan.
Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) Tahap perencanaan strategi dalam proses penerimaan peserta didik baru. Ada lima jenis kegiatan untuk mengarah ke penerimaan siswa baru yaitu: SAC (Sains and Art Competeion), PSC (Pramada Schout Competition), Try Out untuk pelajar MTs dan SMP, Festival Banjari, dan IBM (Invitasi Bola MAN 2 Ponorogo; (2) Tahap penempatan siswa sesuai dengan layanan kelas yang dipilih oleh siswa; (3) Tahap terakhir dalam manajemen peserta didik di MAN 2 Ponorogo yaitu tahap pembinaan, pembinaan yang dilakukan di MAN 2 Ponorogo yang sifatnya regular dan juga eksidental.
